Sew Fun is the product of our dedication to share our knowledge and love for fabric and sewing. Whilst we offer a range of classes for various skill levels at our sewing studio in Singapore. We bring to you our Youtube channel with this inaugural instructional video in hope to carry on our love in knowledge sharing with the community within the Red Dot and beyond.
As our studio shifts gears to produce fabric face masks for our community; we are making available a FREE face mask pattern at our pattern store for home sewers to make their own fabric face masks, for themselves, for their families, as well as for the community at large.
Please understand that this is an extremely difficult decision for us to make. However, as the Covid-19 virus is now thought to be spreading via community transmission here in Singapore, it would be irresponsible of us to continue with our classes at this point in time. It is more important to follow the recommended measures and as a community take care of the vulnerable amongst us.
Rest assured we will resume our classes when the situation has improved and the current measures are lifted. We will keep you posted on any updates as well as when classes can resume via both email and whatsapp.
Drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or whatsapp us at 96431128 if you have any questions for us.
Stay Safe Everyone!
We all know what to do - stay home, only go out to get your groceries or food, keep in touch with people - especially those who live alone - but most importantly remember to be kind. Everyone is feeling the pressure of this scary situation, so we need to look out for each other.
We feel that it is important to stay healthy and continue with normal life as much as is possible, therefore we have implemented all the recommended measures.
Let's stay safe together!
If you have travelled overseas (regardless of country or mode of travel) in the last 14 days; or are placed on Stay-Home-Notice, or have a household member under Quarantine-Order or Leave-of-Absence - do let us know. We will arrange with you to defer your class to the later date.
If you are a senior 60 years and above, or if you have any underlying medical conditions and wish to defer your class to the later date - do let us know.
If you are unwell or showing symptoms of illness (at any point in time before or during a class) - please see a doctor and rest at home.
These are the measures we are taking in our studio as we go ahead with our classes. We will be:-
We have secured an additional classroom space and will be splitting the larger classes in order to have a smaller number of people in each space, with 5-6 participants in each class
Limiting the maximum number of persons within the studio space to 10 (including our instructors)
Hand washing at the start and end of every class
Disinfecting the studio before and after each class, especially all touch points such as our sewing machines, tables, chairs, door handles, electricity points, etc
Ensuring sufficient social distance between each class participant - each table will seat a maximum of 2 persons (approximately 1m apart)
Installed an Industrial grade Air Purifer within the studio

Looking to buy a sewing machine? We work with a local Janome distributor, Guan Lee Long Sewing Machine, to sell some of the sewing machine models that are used in our class. They have agreed to supply selected models to our students at a discounted rate. Do inform your instructor during the class, or drop us an email at email@example.com, should you want to purchase a sewing machine.
No time to pop by Chinatown? Take a look at the fabric we have on offer at the Uyii studio! We have regular shipments of fabric from overseas (e.g. Japan, China), and we also use deadstock fabric and vintage materials for our classes and products. Most of our fabrics are not available locally. You may purchase the fabric when you attend classes at our Midview City studio.
