MAIN SEWING INSTRUCTOR, APPAREL (PART-TIME)
Our Main Instructors will lead the delivery of our core sewing classes. This position offers a unique experience where you will channel your passion for sewing through honing the sewing skills of students and build up their confidence to take on more complex projects on their own.

Job Description

• You will lead our core classes like Beginner Apparel Package, Beginner Apparel Classes, Intermediate Apparel Classes.
• Understand the Sew Fun pedagogy in delivering quality sewing classes, and guide the students to complete their apparel projects.
• May include development of new projects/ curriculum and instructions and procurement of materials for the projects
• Support in other related daily studio operations or events

Requirements

• Proficient in apparel sewing, drafting and conducting fit evaluation/adjustments.
• Have strong command of the English language, spoken Malay and Chinese is a bonus
• Teaching experience will be an advantage
• Meticulous and positive attitude towards work
• Candidates with relevant certifications or qualifications in fashion design, textiles or related fields will be an advantage
• Customer service experience will be an advantage
• Comfortable with using emails/ smart phone apps and social media.
• A minimum requirement of 1 year commitment

Compensation and Work Arrangements

• Instructors are available to teach on at least one to two weekday mornings (Tuesday or Thursday) AND one weekend morning or full day (Saturdays)
• Training will be compensated
• There will be a mandatory 3 month probation period to assess culture fit, performance and suitability
• CPF included, remuneration depends on experience
