Apparel Class Part II - Shirt / Shirt Dress
Make your very own shirt, or shirt dress in our Basic Apparel Class Part II! This course is designed to be a follow-up hands-on class for students who have completed our Basic Apparel Class and are keen to learn more clothes-making skills.
The topics that are covered in the course include: Drafting and constructing a shirt / shirt dress based on your personal bodice block; constructing a button-down stand collar, 2-piece shirt yoke, set-in sleeve with button cuffs; adding details such as a front placket, or no front placket; sewing details such as flat felled seams. At the end of the course, you will have one new shirt that is customized to your size!
Pre-requisites: Students should have completed our basic apparel class.
PRICE: $350 (equipment and tools will be provided; fabric and buttons to be provided by participant)
REGISTRATION: To confirm your place in the class, please register and pay a deposit of $100 per student via online purchase. Saturdays, 2pm-5.30pm, starting on 18 August 2018 and ending on 15 September 2018 (3.5hrs x 5 sessions)
